About the role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will build mission-critical user-facing software, from the ground up. You’ll work across the stack, from the database to the user interface. You will design and implement clean internal APIs using proven architectural patterns while keeping non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and reliability in mind. You will plan and implement the architecture of each project under the supervision of our CTO and deliver maintainable, well-tested code and infrastructure.

About the role

As the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer at Balance, you will be critical in our success by ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations and identifying, quantifying, and managing risk within the organization. In this role you will holistically oversee all functions of the company and enforce compliance with various policies and procedures. You will develop and maintain such policies, procedures, and standards, regularly assess their effectiveness, and train our staff internally in accordance with their role and responsibilities. About the role

As the Chief Finance Officer at Balance, you will be critical in our success by prudently managing our treasury and cash flows. You will maintain our books and records, define and document accounting policies, and implement financial control processes within the organization. You will be in charge of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, both internally as well as externally to various stakeholders such as regulators. You will work closely with the C-level suite and report directly to the CEO.

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain and continuously develop our chart of accounts.
  • Maintain and continuously develop our accounting and bookkeeping policies.
  • Define and implement financial control processes.
  • Manage our treasury including our regulatory capital.
  • Oversee all company cash flows and spending, including AP/AR.
  • Prepare, present, and maintain our monthly budget for the next year.
  • Prepare, present, and maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial projections.
  • Prepare and submit year-end financial and tax returns to various tax authorities.
